Nick, Sons & Friend Land a few large Striped Bass and More

Today’s charter, July 2, 2018, we took Nick, his sons and a friend out and it was a beautiful sunny day with calm waters.  We left the dock just about 6am which is actually a little late for the typical deep-sea Rhode Island striped bass charter.

Decided to try The Rip first, which is just off Block Island.  Here we landed 6 striped bass.  Unfortunately, we had to throw back all but one due to size.  We decided to head out to the Southeast Corner where we noticed birds working the water.  As we came closer to the birds we noticed the fish were actually breaking the water.  We dropped in our lines and within a very short period of time we pulled in a couple good sized striped bass, one 36” and one 33”!  These fish put a really good fight and took the anglers a bit of time to bring them in.  After a very short while, we landed another 3 striped bass and threw back 1.  We remained at this location for another 10 minutes and hauled in a 5th big keeper.

Since we reached our max for Striped Bass we decided to head to a flounder spot that is always very active, and caught about 25 flounder and threw back about 10.  We were all done for the day at this point.  This deep sea charter certainly did deliver the goods!

We took these customers out a few years ago when the sons were much younger.  Now they are college graduates.  They remembered having a great time from years ago.  It is always great to see customers return.

Thank you for taking your RI Deep Sea Fishing Charter on the Aces Wild!  Hope to see you again soon!

The Captain!
